ACCREDITATION

Program Overview and Target Audience:

The joint providership of Purdue University College of Pharmacy Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development (Purdue) and Focus Medical Communications (Focus), in collaboration with Academy of PAs in Cardiology (APAC), presents the 1st Annual CAPP National Conference. The conference will provide a comprehensive educational update on the latest scientific and clinical developments in cardiology for advanced practice providers (APPs; nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants).

Educational Objectives:

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Apply advanced diagnostic techniques for cardiovascular conditions.

  • Appraise emerging literature pertaining to diagnosis and treatment in cardiology.

  • Create personalized patient management plans to optimally care for cardiac patients.

  • Synthesize and communicate information for patient education and engagement.

  • Formulate strategies for integrating new therapies into cardiology practice.

This activity has been reviewed by the American Academy of Physician Associates Review Panel and is compliant with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 13 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation. Approval is valid from 10/17/2024 to 10/19/2024. AAPA reference number: CME-2012429.

Nurse Credit:

Purdue University Continuing Nursing Education is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.


This program has been approved for 13.00 contact hours. 


Upon completing an evaluation, please note the maximum credit hours to be claimed for the following sessions: 

•    CAPP Plenary Sessions + Workshop: maximum amount of credits = 11.0 credit/contact hours
•    CAPP Plenary Sessions + Workshop + Boot Camp: maximum amount of credits = 13.0 credit/contact hours
